iPhone Dev Team Updates Redsn0w To 0.9.9b7, Brings Faster Jailbreak Option
iPhone Dev Team has announced a highly welcomed Redns0w update. The latest Redsn0w 0.9.9b7 brings us a new option in the “extras” section in which you can choose to either have Redsn0w skip or stash the default applications during the jailbreak.
This new method skips the stashing of applications during the jailbreak process thus making it 60% faster. Don’t get too excited though because if you check the ‘move applications’ option you will have to deal with a slow first run of Cydia, details below:

iPhone Dev Team:
After some feedback on reddit, we’ve decided to make the initial jailbreak as quick as possible by no longer “stashing” the applications by default during the redsn0w run. This reduces the time to actually perform the jailbreak from 210 seconds to 80 seconds (60 percent!). However, you make up for much of that the first time you launch Cydia, which will then want to stash the applications. You can choose whether you want redsn0w or Cydia to stash in the Preferences pane.
